Meet The Creators

Marie Hernandez, Author

All Dogs Don't Bite is author Marie Hernandez's first book. Marie is the mother of two grown children and Mimi to her two young grandsons. She spent six rewarding years as a Girl Scout Leader, as well as four amazing years as 'band mom' to her son's ska band, lending the family basement for use as a practice space. Happily retired after working for more than two decades in Women's Health, Marie enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, listening to 70's music, traveling and of course, walking her Rescue dog Tessa.

Marie is thrilled to be working on her first book with illustrator Stephanie Weinger. Stephanie's creativity, enthusiasm, and love of animals has helped bring this project to life.

Stephanie Weinger, Illustrator

Stephanie Weinger is a Natural Science and Children's Illustrator located in Philadelphia, PA. Growing up surrounded by nature, Stephanie developed a passion for wildlife. Her work focuses on wildlife conservation and education. She creates vibrant naturalistic illustrations that spike children's curiosity, interest and sense of adventure. Stephanie has worked with The Endangered Species Coalition, Mission Wolf, Junior Wildlife Ranger and John Heinz National Wildlife Refuge. Through her own Personal Project "Animals Everywhere," Stephanie creates illustrations, activity pages and books to help teach young readers about animals that call North America home.

Stephanie is beyond excited to add man's best friend to her growing list of animal illustrations through Marie Hernandez's book, "All Dogs Don't Bite." Having grown up with many pets, she realized how important it is to know how to safely be around all animals including the ones that are part of a family.
